Sudanese Singer Hind Al Tahir Resident in Paris: My message is to reflect Sudanese Heritage Abroad

I took up singing professionally while abroad
We presented a patriotic song to participate in the national concern
Singer Hind Al-Taher promised to convey the Sudanese song to different spaces and different audiences in an attempt to contribute to the dissemination of Sudanese music, accompanied by her band (Hind Band), and to also introduce Sudanese folklore in Paris and several other countries, and through her participation in festivals and cultural nights.
Hind, who lives in the French capital, Paris, has loved singing since her childhood, through her participation in school courses, but her singing experience became famous outside Sudan.
In this space, we highlight the experience of a Sudanese singer.

Let’s get to know you first?
I am Hind Al-Taher, a Sudanese singer who lives in Paris. I am married to a French saxophonist who is a member of my band and the artistic director. Mother of three children.
When did your relationship with singing begin?
Singing is a hobby since childhood, and in school, school courses, university activities, then abroad, and here is the true beginning of professionalism.
When was Hind Band formed?
The formation of the band took place in France, because throughout my time in Sudan I did not have a clear direction towards music, and singing was a hobby, and I was very academic.
What is the idea behind your appearance in Sudanese singing abroad?
My appearance to the public was with the message of introducing Sudanese music to foreign audiences, and reflecting the Sudanese heritage and introducing others to it
And your own business?
It exists. I turned to private work due to the importance of the matter and I also sought to publish it as well
Who among the poets and composers have you dealt with?
I dealt with a number of poets and composers, including Jihad Awad, Abdel-Al Sayed, Sheikh Mohamed Osman , Al-Shafi’i Sheikh Idris, Salah Idris and others.
What is your assessment of your artistic experience and your vision for its future?
I am happy and proud of my artistic experience and I am still continuing the struggle.
The responsibility is great and the ambition is even greater.
What are your efforts during the war period, and your assessment of what the Sudanese artist presented?
The war has paralyzed all our energy, and we are trying to maintain the positivity. We performed a patriotic song: We in Sudan love our homelands for the giant Ahmed Al-Mustafa, and with the participation of Hind Al-Taher’s performance and the music of Thierry Fournet, it is a way for us to participate in the one concern, that is the homeland and the beautiful Sudanese citizen.
We are still in the process of implementing other work.
