Revealed by financial and economic expert Dr. Ali Allah Abdel Razzaq reported the average revenues of the livestock and livestock sector, which amounted to about one billion dollars during the last five years.
“with the political changes that Sudan has witnessed during the past two years, reports indicate that Sudan has lost a large number of livestock and livestock export revenues, and there has been a decline in its contribution to providing foreign exchange resources, praising the decision of the Central Bank of Sudan to set requirements and procedures for the livestock sector and livestock” He said.

Securities mafia:

“The Central Bank’s decision comes due to the growing phenomenon of the livestock mafia, which has caused the country’s treasury to waste more than six billion dollars.” He said. Pointing out that the livestock and livestock sector, among other sectors, continued to suffer from the spread of the securities mafia (a group of exporters who obtain fake documents from government agencies related to the export, allowing them to smuggle exports without supervision and following proper procedures), and he added that due to the growth of this phenomenon, the securities mafia caused the economy loses of significant revenues from exports, and huge taxes that had a positive effect on the economy.
He concluded that the decision of the Bank of Sudan would shut the door to parasitic activity on livestock exports and other activites. Moreover, the decision comes in light of the increasing demand for Sudanese meat from abroad.
However, he pointed out that the decision alone is not sufficient to ensure the entry of revenues issued by this sector, noting that this sector provides the national economy with revenues ranging between 15% to 20% of national income. However, there are no accurate statistics for it.

Sector neglect:

Ali Allah pointed out that the livestock sector remained neglected and not paid attention to by the government, and continued to suffer from lack of planning and attention on the part of officials.
He said that if the authorities pay attention to this promising sector, it will certainly achieve record-breaking returns, and this will only happen by ending the crisis of the workers.
