Government of South Sudan: We need $358 million to support the displaced
Sudan Events – Talal Mudathir
Albino Akol, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the Government of South Sudan, said that his country is seeking $358 million to support displaced returnees from Sudan since the start of the bloody clashes that broke out in Sudan between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the rebel Rapid Support militia.
Akol added that their need comes to respond to the influx of these displaced people. He warned at the same time that their number may rise to half a million people, all of whom will need drinking, food and medical services as the Sudan war enters its sixth month.
