Port Sudan Writers and Artists Union organized a Ramadan evening to celebrate the dean of Bejawi song, Mohamed Al-Badri.
The governor of the Red Sea State, Maj.Gen.(Rtd) Mustafa Mohamed Nour, and a group of musicians and dramatists witnessed the evening .
The singer performed many of his Bejawi songs, along with patriotic and sentimental songs by a number of singers.
He began the evening by appreciating (Tayba House of al-Sufi” ) and succeeded, with his performing power and his special technique, in removing language barriers in the songs “Nawl, Yahabdon, Usnouni” alongside the songs of Voice of Heaven by the singer Sayed Khalifa. .
In a special encoding, he presented the song “Essence of Ar” for honouring Hadia Talusam, who participated in the performance with her sister Hayat’s son, the singer Nader Osman Jamal al-Din, a member of the College of Music and Drama choir.
The event concluded with a duet with the singer Imad Ahmed Al-Tayeb in the song “I am Sudanese, I am.”
