Mineral Resources Co. Stresses the Activation of Social Responsibility Councils

The Director of the Social Responsibility Department at the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, Mohamed Ahmed Osman Tetteh, has stressed the importance of activating the social responsibility councils for the Red Sea State localities, so that they can play their full role in selecting service projects and meeting the needs of local communities.
The joint meeting between the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited and the Red Sea State Government, headed by the State Governor, and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the State Government, the Director-General of the Ministry of Finance, the state’s legal advisor and local executive directors, discussed all issues related to social responsibility projects and shares of local communities in accordance with Minister of Finance Decision No. “90”.
Tetteh appreciated the great role of the State Government and local communities in selecting projects that have a lasting impact on the communities hosting industries and mining activities, stressing the support and interest of the company’s management in following up and supervising all development projects determined by the social responsibility councils to achieve development and extend services.
The company’s representatives provided additional information to the governor of the Red Sea State about the progress of work in the social responsibility aspect of the state.
