The Sultan of Dar Masalit, Saad Abdul-Rahman Bahr Al-Din, has said that the power of God and the will of the Sudanese people aborted the largest plan to declare the state of Darfur from Paris.
Bahr Al-Din revealed; About the existence of a conspiracy led by some European Union countries, he described it as “it was a big conspiracy and is still continuing until the day before yesterday in Switzerland in an attempt to breathe life into the mortal and worn-out body of a coordination (Taqaddum) from some European Union countries,” indicating that it too was foiled, “ They disagreed among themselves, and they disbanded without issuing a final statement, as happened in Paris.”
Paris, along with the European Union and Germany, organized a conference for Sudan and its neighbourhood, on the 15th of last April in the capital, Paris, which included a seminar for civil forces, in which some political forces participated.
Bahr Al-Din confirmed in an enlightenment to a group of Sudanese in Paris that Sudan’s efforts foiled the plan, as the organizers of the Civil Forum in Paris canceled a full day of its work. He noted that this was done by the power of God, the will and determination of the people of Sudan, and the purity of the consciences of the Sudanese people. He added: “Today we would have been two states, the state of Darfur and the state of Sudan, but we are for the unity of Sudan.”
He noted that he had come to France at the invitation of its government under the name of the “Civil Forum,” adding: “But he was not a civilian,” pointing out that more was said in the forum hall than what was leaked abroad.
He stressed that the Sultanate of Dar Masalit, which joined Sudan as people and land, has no more right in Sudan to secede or be merged, and added: “We say it from Paris that we are with the unity of Sudan and the unity of the people of Sudan, and we are the ones who participated in its renaissance and contributed to its construction, and there is no one else more deserving than us to separate Sudan.”
The Sultan of Dar Masalit accused the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) of being the ones who caused Sudan’s problem through the framework agreement and described it as an “odious document” that did not take into account the aspirations and longings of the people of Sudan or its legacies, and did not issue any indication of a trend towards a democratic system, as the leaders of “FFC” exploited it to reach positions in the name of the people of Sudan.
