Saudi Arabia Doubles its Support for Sudan

The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibriel Ibrahim, has revealed that the number of internally displaced people has reached ten million, pointing to the consequences of the war and its impacts on the movement of the economy and the life cycle of the Sudanese citizen. During his meeting with the Advisor to the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, he praised the high professional performance of the Center and the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia made to support humanitarian work and serve the needy and affected people all over the world and Sudan in particular, stressing the depth of the roots of brotherly relations between the two countries.
We appreciate the efforts of the Center’s director and his staff in assisting Sudan, especially the air bridge provided by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid to Sudan in several vital areas since the beginning of the war, such as food, medicine and shelter without showing that they did favor. He stressed the government’s commitment to overcoming all difficulties that would hinder humanitarian aid. .
Meanwhile, Advisor to the Royal Court, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, said that the directives of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are to double support for Sudan in light of the current and critical conditions it is going through as a result of the war, stressing that the Kingdom had previously placed the largest share of the Center’s campaigns in favor of Sudan.
It is noteworthy that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center had launched the first liver transplant operation shortly before the war, and the plan was to expand the work throughout the country, but the war stopped the expansion process and the project was suspended for a while.
