Foden is the best player in the English Football Writers’ Association poll

Englishman Phil Foden, the Manchester City midfielder, won the Best Player Award for the year 2023 in the International Football Writers’ Association referendum, based on the fans’ vote, after the player’s outstanding performance last season, which contributed to Manchester City being crowned champion of the Champions League.
The official page of the Football Writers’ Association announced that Foden was chosen as Player of the Year following a public referendum. Foden excelled in Manchester City’s matches last April by scoring 5 regular goals in addition to a goal against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
This season, the 23-year-old player succeeded in scoring 24 goals in 47 matches in various competitions.
