TSC: SSMO Are the First Line of Defense for National Economy

Member of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, has stressed the importance of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO) in protecting the consumer and the national economy, praising its performance, especially during the war.
When he met with the Authority’s delegation in Port Sudan, he described the SSMO as representing the first line of defense for the economy, and that they are the first pillar of construction in the reconstruction phase. Jaber expressed his appreciation for the SSMO and its national initiative in rebuilding what was destroyed by the war by bringing in the latest modern technologies for inspecting and stamping gold jewelry and training the workforce, calling for it to be Standard specifications are the basis for establishing new industrial zones in the states. He directed the intensification of awareness and media programs to reflect the SSMO’s role in the field of examining and stamping gold and participating in international exhibitions to highlight the competitive advantage and specifications of Sudanese products to ensure their passage to global markets, praising the SSMO’s approach in strengthening strategic partnerships with relevant parties.
Jaber affirmed his full support for the SSMO’s projects, announcing his participation in the device inauguration program early next week.
For her part, Director of the SSMO, Rahba Saeed Abdullah, appreciated the support and interest of the Sovereign Council and the interaction of the member of the Sovereign Council and his support for the SSMO’s programs as it carries out its national roles despite the war conditions, stressing the SSMO’s keenness to carry out its national roles and prepare for development and reconstruction projects with a strategy of change to build a new Sudan.
