Execution of Person Who Supports RSF Militia
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
On Sunday, the East Gedaref Criminal Court, headed by Judge Al-Hassan Al-Noush, ruled to death by hanging as a discretionary measure against an accused convicted of violating Article 51/A. It also ordered the confiscation of his displayed phone.
The details of the case go back to the fact that a team from the intelligence of the 2nd Division in Gedaref arrested the convict near his residence in the airport district after receiving information indicating that he belonged to the Rapid Support militia (RSF).
Through investigation and examination of the convict’s phone, correspondence was found between him and some members of the rebel militia, in which he expressed his support for the rebel militia and conveyed intelligence information about the movement of the armed forces from Gedaref to Al-Faw and Gezira. He reflected to them the trends of public opinion and its assessment of the militia and the mobilization and alert operations, and called on the rebel militia to enter Gedaref and occupy it.
