Forming a Mechanism to Monitor and Control Strategic Goods in Dongola

The Executive Director of Dongola Locality, Makkawi Al-Khair Al-Waqi has’, issued an office order to form a mechanism to monitor and control strategic goods in the locality, headed by the Executive Director of Dongola Locality and the Director of the Petroleum Department in the locality as a member, a rapporteur, and other members.
The office order specified the tasks and powers of the committee in following up and monitoring strategic goods and supervising their distribution within the locality through official channels, developing a detailed plan for distributing strategic goods at the local level according to real data and information and the quantities received, submitting periodic reports to the Supreme Committee for Control of Goods in the locality about the quantities, rates of flow and disbursement, and obstacles that it subjected to. The committee seeks the assistance of whomever it deems appropriate.
The committee held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Executive Director Makkawi Al-Khair Al-Waqi in the presence of the entire committee membership. The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the commodities of flour and petroleum products.
In a statement following the meeting, the committee’s rapporteur, Saif Al-Din Abdul Rahman, said, “During the meeting, a report on petroleum materials was presented, as well as a report on flour,” adding that a plan for the committee’s work had been drawn up.
The committee rapporteur indicated the formation of subcommittees to follow up the committee’s work, stressing that the meetings will be periodic to identify all the problems facing strategic goods, supervise their distribution according to the requirements of the decision issued by the Executive Director, and take all necessary measures to confront violators.
