The Executive Director of Shendi Locality, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, has confirmed that his locality enjoys preferential advantages for incoming and outgoing traffic in the country. He said while chairing the joint meeting, which included the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, Atbara Office, members of the Economic Committee, and representatives of companies and factories, he said that the meeting discussed how to encourage the movement of exports and imports and encourage small producers to increase exports and work for its smooth flow In a way that enables the country to benefit from supporting the economy in these circumstances that the country is going through.
The meeting sought to find solutions facing investment in the local area, most notably facilitating procedures. The meeting agreed to form rooms, including the Industrial Chamber, rooms for exports, and others for imports, and to list the names of companies and factories to organize and arrange work in an optimal manner.
Khaled explained that the locality will open its doors for investment, especially after the stabilization of electricity in the locality after the entry of the new transformer, and that the locality will support everything that strengthens the national economy by providing all facilities to investors, factory owners and companies. Khaled directed that immediate preparations be made for holding a forum to discuss export and import issues with the participation of all competent authorities.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Atbara Office, said that the meeting aims to increase coordination and cooperation with the locality to facilitate export and import procedures and promote Sudanese products, especially since the state has become an economic center. He said that the River Nile signed a border trade agreement with the Ministry of Trade.
