The Army Conducts Successful Airdrop of Military Equipment in El Fasher

Sudan Events – Reports

The armed forces conducted a successful airdrop of military equipment to the “6th Infantry Division” on Wednesday, coinciding with the advancement of the armed forces, joint forces, and mobilized personnel in several locations in the city.

The southwestern neighborhoods, the vicinity of the 6th Infantry Division, and the market witnessed artillery operations early Wednesday morning, with long-range clashes subsiding by noon, according to eyewitnesses.

The joint forces published a video from inside El Fasher market, showing stable conditions and no Rapid Support Forces (RSF) control. They stated that these forces are spreading misleading videos to deceive citizens and spread rumors.

The commander of the joint forces in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, confirmed the control of the armed forces, joint forces, and mobilized personnel over El Fasher. He said that the RSF occasionally spread rumors by infiltrating some locations, publishing videos, and then leaving.

In a video, the joint forces commander in El Fasher, Brigadier General Ibrahim Askum, stated that the situation in El Fasher is stable. He said, “The field has spoken its word,” adding, “Deception will not solve your problem, and you cannot live by deception.”

Askum stressed that the RSF had not advanced an inch forward, noting that some elements infiltrate westward and then return.

“They published photos claiming they controlled El Fasher Airport, which is a lie; it did not happen,” Askum said.

He explained that the El Fasher market is stable, with shops reopening and the Grand Mosque in El Fasher “the ancient mosque” being under joint forces’ control, and not taken over by the RSF.

Askum affirmed that the advanced defenses of the joint forces and the armed forces are prepared to counter the RSF, which spreads rumors of their control over El Fasher.
