Minerals signs an agreement on gold exploration with a Russian company

Minister of Minerals Mohamed Bashir Abu Namu signed a concession agreement with Ross Geo Company in Block NS-A-24 to search and explore for gold and associated minerals.
For the Sudanese side; Minister of Minerals signed, while Sergey Radkov, General Manager of Ross Geo Company, signed on the Russian side.
The Sudanese Minister of Minerals affirmed the importance of joint economic cooperation between Sudan and the Russian Federation and ways to strengthen the relation between the two countries through this joint committee by implementing projects of economic value and interests for the two countries.
In the context, Director General of the General Authority for Geological Research, Geologic Advisor Ahmed Haroun, affirmed the importance of the relation between the two countries and the relation between the Authority and Zarobierzo Geo Company.
Haroun stated that there was a previously signed agreement between the two parties for geological, geochemical and metallurgical mapping, as the implementation of the agreement began in 2020. Work was carried out in three states: the Northern State, the River Nile State and the Red Sea State, with the work to include all states of Sudan in stages.
The signing of the concession agreement was considered an advanced step in cooperation between the two countries by adding another Russian company to the Kosh Company, which signed the agreement in 2010 and entered production in 2013 by forming a joint production company (Alliance Company) between the Ministry of Minerals and the Kosh Company.
The Director General of the Authority also presented other investment opportunities in the field of rare earth elements, radioactive elements, base metals and energy metals for Russian companies to invest in.
