Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, called for the impotence of concerted international efforts to save the Sudanese State and prevent its collapse, referring to what the Arab League warned of since the first day of the outbreak of the conflict regarding the scattering of international and regional efforts and the slowness of their implementation as a result of the lack of coordination, which contributes to the deterioration of the field and humanitarian conditions as a result of the continuation of military confrontations.
Aboul Gheit pointed out while addressing the opening of the African Peace and Security Council (APSC)Summit dedicated to discussing developments in the situation in Sudan to the necessity of implementing the understandings of Jeddah Forum and returning to the peaceful path to resolve the Sudanese crisis, and launching a Sudanese dialogue led by Sudan.
He also affirmed the necessity of implementing Security Council Resolution No. 2736 dated June 13, which called on the Rapid Support Forces RSF to end the siege of El Fasher and immediately stop the fighting and de-escalate the escalation in and around North Darfur state.
