The official spokesperson for the Democratic Bloc, Mohamed Zakaria, made their participation in the Cairo meeting conditional on negotiations with Taqddum Bloc being indirect.
The Democratic Bloc said in a statement that Taqddum is the political front for the Rapid Support RSF Militia and its declared ally according to the Addis Ababa Agreement, and is therefore a partner in all the heinous crimes committed by the militia against Sudanese civilians.
He added in the statement that there is a meeting of the bloc and the Sudan Charter Powers to discuss the issue of participation, whether directly or through the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
