Egyptian Foreign Minister: We do our utmost to stop the Sudanese Bloodshed

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ambassador Badr Abdel Aati affirmed that Egypt is working intensively with all parties to stop the bloodshed of the Sudanese people.
He said in his speech during the opening of the Sudanese Political and Civil Powers Conference held in Cairo on Saturday that Egypt insisted on holding the conference in order to stop the bloodshed of the Sudanese people and discuss all solutions to stop the fighting.
The Sudanese Political and Civil Powers Conference kicked off on Saturday morning in the New Administrative Capital in Cairo, as part of the Egyptian efforts to discuss ways to end the Sudanese conflict, stop the fighting that has killed and injured thousands in Sudan, and stop the bloodshed of the people.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed that the crisis in Sudan requires addressing its roots through a comprehensive political solution, adding, “The serious repercussions of the developments in Sudan are no secret, with the displacement of millions and the huge material losses.”
He continued, “The crisis in Sudan has caused a severe shortage of food and medicine, which has led to catastrophic health consequences.”
The Egyptian minister affirmed that the daily scenes of destruction and killing in Sudan break all our hearts, adding, “We look forward to the effective participation of all Sudanese powers to achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese people.”

He added, “This conference aims to enhance communication for a Sudanese-Sudanese solution to stop the ongoing war.”

Abdel Aati thanked everyone for responding to the Egyptian invitation to participate in this conference to discuss the situation in Sudan.

The Foreign Minister stressed that the Sudanese Civilian Political Forces Conference is being held at a critical moment in Sudan’s history, and that there are obstacles facing the agricultural season in Sudan, which has resulted in a severe food shortage.

The Foreign Minister said that the repercussions of the Sudanese crisis pose a threat to the region and the world, noting that military operations in Sudan must be stopped immediately.

He stressed that the unity of the Sudanese Armed Forces is of great importance, as proven by the current developments in the role of this institution in protecting Sudan, preserving the safety of its citizens, and confronting any threats to this safety, whatever their source.

He stressed that the international community must take urgent action to stop the war in Sudan, noting that any solution to the crisis in Sudan begins from within only.

He said that the Egyptian state will continue to do everything in its power to stop the bloodshed of precious Sudanese people, and continued, “The Egyptian government has provided urgent humanitarian aid to our brothers in Sudan, and this is not a grant, but a duty.”

He added, “Egypt is working to intensify its contacts through close work with international organizations and donor countries to support neighboring countries affected by the crisis.”
