The official spokesperson for the Sudanese Armed Forces SAF,Brig. Gen.Nabil Abdullah, denied the presence of “foreign mercenaries” within the ranks of the SAF , affirming that the accusations directed at the armed forces in this regard are “false.”
Abdullah told the “Arab World News Agency”, “This is a false accusation, a very strange and rejected accusation, as the Sudanese Armed Forces SAF throughout its long history have been, are and will continue to be without any mercenaries of any kind, and this has not happened at any stage in the ancient and modern history of Sudan.”
He accused the Rapid Support RSF Militia of recruiting mercenaries, and said, “Anyone who can monitor with satellites and see and listen , knows very well that the place of mercenaries is with the rebels and not the armed forces SAF.
Abdullah reiterated that the armed forces SAF , have no place for mercenaries at all, and we do not need to bring in mercenaries to fight among our ranks… This is talk that no one can believe, particularly the Sudanese people.”
