Increases in fuel, bread and Commodity Prices exacerbate the suffering of Berber citizens

Suffering of citizens in Berber locality has worsened following significant increases in fuel, bread and consumer goods prices, addition to an increase in transportation fares.
On Sunday, the authorities in the River Nile set new prices for fuel “gasoline” and “diesel”, making it the second increase in fuel within a week.
The price of a gallon of gasoline reached (13.815) pounds, while the price of a gallon of diesel reached SDGs 13.752.
In contrast, bakeries in the city of Berber implemented a new increase in bread prices on Sunday, to become (7) pieces of bread for about a thousand pounds instead of (8) pieces of bread for a thousand pounds.
The prices of consumer goods witnessed a significant increase, while vehicle owners increased transportation fares due to the increase in fuel prices.
According to a tour by (Sudan Events ), the new increases were met with a wave of widespread rejection from citizens who expressed their dissatisfaction with the matter, and appealed to the competent authorities to take steps to alleviate the economic pressures on citizens.
