The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council TSC ,Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces SAF, Lt.Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, received on Sunday the credentials of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sudan, Hassan Shah Hosseini, as Ambassador and Plenipotentiary Extraordinary of his country to Sudan in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Sovereignty Council TSC,Lt. Gen. Mohamed Al-Gali Ali Youssuf , and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin.
The Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement that the Iranian ambassador presented his credentials to the President of the Sovereignty Council TSC , noting that the President of the Sovereignty Council TSC welcomed the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, affirming the strength of relations between Sudan and Iran, and said that the ambassador’s presentation of his credentials is a sign of the beginning of a new phase in the path of bilateral relations between the two countries.
For his part, the Iranian ambassador said that presenting his credentials comes in the context of the common consensus between the two countries regarding the exchange of ambassadors and the promotion of bilateral relations.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the Sovereignty Council TSC for accepting his credentials, affirming that he will do his utmost to enhance cooperation relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Sudan.
He said that his country supports national sovereignty and the unity and integrity of Sudanese territories.
