Companies enter Production Phase of Gold and Chromium in the Blue Nile

Governor of the Blue Nile Region, Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, pledged to facilitate the tasks of companies operating in the mining sector in the region to achieve more stability and production to support the national economy during this period that the country is witnessing, especially the procedures related to production inputs.
The governor affirmed during his meeting with the director of the company’s office in the region and the mining companies operating there, the stability of the security situation and the suitability of the environment to attract investments in the mining sector, noting that the region is promising and rich in mineral resources, particularly(gold and chromium).
For his part, the Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company ( SMRC) Limited office in the Blue Nile Region, Dr. Mohamed Al-Rahima Mohamed , revealed that a number of companies have entered the production phase in the region, and revealed that some companies exceeded the requirements of the work plan by 70% to 90% and entered the production phase at large rates, indicating that the number of companies operating in the region exceeded (15) companies, affirming the region’s ability to accommodate more than 150 companies in the field of gold and chromium production.
Al-Rahima provided the governor with additional information about the companies’ plans and programs to be implemented in mineral production in the region, praising the major role played by the regional government and its interest in mining issues, which led to some companies entering the early production phase in the second half of this year with ambitious plans. He revealed that the meeting approved the formation of a joint committee headed by the Governor of Presidential Affairs to follow up on mining issues and remove the obstacles facing the companies.
