Nile Petroleum and Ethiopian Petroleum Corporation sign Agreements on Petroleum Services

Sudanese Nile Petroleum Company signed on Thursday in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa an agreement with the Ethiopian Petroleum Corporation on cooperation in several areas, including the process of blending ethanol with gasoline (E5) and facilitating the import of gasoline through Sudan to Ethiopia, provided that the Ethiopian Petroleum Corporation provides lands for the Nile Petroleum Company in Addis Ababa to establish petroleum service stations.
The two parties agreed to work together to import liquefied gas (cooking gas) and distribute it at profitable prices to Ethiopian consumers.
The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Ethiopian Petroleum Corporation on behalf of the Nile Petroleum Company by the head of the Board of Directors of the Nile Petroleum Company, Hisham Taj Al-Sir, and on behalf of the Ethiopian Petroleum Corporation by the Director of the Corporation, Ismail Mehertu.
The signing ceremony was honored by the Sudanese Ambassador to Addis Ababa, Ambassador Al-Zain Ibrahim, and members of the Board of Directors of the Nile Petroleum Company.
These steps come in conjunction with the visit made by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy to Sudan and the development of economic relations between the two countries.
It is worth mentioning that the Nile Petroleum Company has been operating in Ethiopia since 2007, providing many economic and social projects addition to providing petroleum derivatives through several stations in different Ethiopian cities.
