The UN Security Council held a secret consultation session on Monday on developments in the situation in Sudan, at the request of the United Kingdom, which is handling the Sudan dossier .
A statement issued by the Council said that the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Sudan, Ramtane Lamamra, and the Director of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs for Financing and Partnerships, Lisa Duggin, provide an update on the situation in Sudan.
