Reggae singer Mo Ali: We are fighting to represent Sudan in international forums

Sudanese artist singer Mohamed Ali, AKA “Mo Ali”, owner of the first reggae band outside Sudan, said that the difficulties facing artists and the inferiority complex are made by the Sudanese themselves. “When we were young, I always heard the word inferiority, the work of the inferiority is amazing, the inferiority complex”, He said.
“Although the reasons are many, with time I realized that the reason for our backwardness, moral collapse and laziness in musical progress or even in practical life in general was this sentence or for me.” He added.
Mo said that the sentence had an impact on him to the point that he felt backward. “I am one of the people who felt that no matter what I did, I would not reach the point of standing with the musical inferiority complex in the same rank, let alone surpassing him or standing with him on the same stage, but thank God I broke that barrier many years ago.” He said. “We all have weaknesses or complexes about something or certain things and we cannot take a step forward because of them, but the only solution is to enter in any way and face it with all you can until the barrier is broken,” Mo added. “After the barrier is broken, you will know the true meaning of the phrase (nothing is impossible).” He added. Mo narrated in a blog post called the story of the struggle of the difficulties he faced at the beginning of his artistic career. “I had one shoe and the transportation fees were a hill, I would go from home to university and from university to rehearsal (that was before I went to university). I did not know what would be in my pocket to take me back home or how I would walk home. I had a dream and I did not think it would come true. I formed the first reggae band in 2010 in Sudan, and despite the difficulties I faced, I did not know anything called impossible.” He said. He pointed out that he was frustrated most of the time with every obstacle, but every obstacle made him more determined to crawl towards the dream.
“But after the success of my concerts in Holland, Belgium and Europe, today I am proud of myself. With God’s grace and the support of the audience, I stand at this station, which will be followed by bigger stations and more difficult tasks, and God willing, we will fight until our last breath until we represent Sudan in all international forums.” He said.
