Arsenal Defeats Lyon in Final Pre-Season Friendly

Arsenal defeated French side Lyon 2-0 on Sunday in a friendly match in London, which served as the final warm-up for both teams before the start of the 2024-2025 football season.

According to “Agence France-Presse,” French central defender William Saliba and Brazilian Gabriel scored the goals in the 9th and 18th minutes, respectively.

Arsenal, last season’s Premier League runners-up, will kick off their domestic campaign by hosting Wolverhampton on August 17th, while Lyon will visit Rennes on the 18th.

Arsenal, who signed Italian international defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, will participate in the Champions League next season, while Lyon will compete in the Europa League.
