Lebanese Hezbollah’s military media announced the targeting of the Israeli settlement of Eliat HaShahar for the first time in response to the Kfour attack in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, which left several people dead and injured.
In a statement from Hezbollah’s military media, it said: “In response to the Israeli enemy’s attacks on the steadfast southern villages and safe homes, especially in the town of Kfour, which resulted in civilian casualties, including Syrians, the resistance today targeted the settlement of Eliat HaShahar with a barrage of Katyusha rockets for the first time.”
The resistance fighters also targeted a position of Israeli soldiers at the Marj site with two attack drones, hitting it directly and causing several deaths and injuries.
Lebanese sources reported on Friday that the death toll from the Israeli shelling of a residential building housing Syrians in the Wadi Kfour area of Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, had risen to nine people.
The exchange of fire between Hezbollah and Israel has continued since Hamas launched its “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, followed by Israel’s devastating war on the Gaza Strip.
