Human Rights Watch calls for arms flow restrictions in Sudan

Human Rights Watch called on the United Nations Security Council to renew and expand the arms embargo on Darfur to cover the entire country of Sudan. The organization analyzed 49 images and videos showing the use of various weapons in the conflict. These weapons, including armed drones and anti-tank guided missiles, were reportedly produced by companies registered in the UAE, Russia, and Serbia. The group emphasized the risks posed by the warring parties obtaining new weapons during the ongoing conflict.
