Agar pledges to overcome all obstacles to achieve food security

Malik Agar, Vice President of the Sovereignty Council, was briefed on the activities and programs conducted by the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) in Sudan and the efforts being made to develop the agricultural sector in the country.
During his meeting with Professor Ibrahim Adam Al-Dukhairi, Director General of AOAD, in his office in Port Sudan on Monday, Agar emphasized the need for joint efforts and the creation of effective and distinguished partnerships with relevant entities. He pledged to remove all existing obstacles and challenges to implement future activities and programs aimed at achieving food security and agricultural development.
On his part, Professor Ibrahim Al-Dukhairi stated in a press briefing that the meeting discussed the possibility of intensifying AOAD’s activities in Sudan. He noted that the organization continues to provide services in the fields of training, capacity building, and implementing projects related to both plant and animal agricultural development, in addition to fisheries, forestry, and pasture sectors.
He confirmed the organization’s commitment to expanding its activities and programs in Sudan and supporting the state’s efforts to achieve food security and sustainable agricultural development.
