Egypt Raises Household Gas Prices by 50%

Egypt raised the price of household gas cylinders by 50% starting Wednesday, just a few months after the last price increase.
According to a decision issued by the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, the price of a 12.5-kilogram household gas cylinder increased to 150 Egyptian pounds (3.09 USD), compared to 100 pounds (2.06 USD) in March.
Additionally, the price of a 25-kilogram commercial gas cylinder rose to 200 pounds (4.12 USD), up from 150 pounds (3.09 USD).
