North Korean Leader Oversees New Ballistic Missile Tests

Sudan Events – Agencies
The Korean Central News Agency reported that North Korea tested new tactical ballistic missiles using large warheads and modified cruise missiles on Wednesday under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, who called for stronger conventional and nuclear weapon capabilities. The agency quoted Kim as saying that the tests aimed at improving weapon capabilities were necessary due to the serious threat posed by external forces to the country’s security. The report likely referred to the launch of several short-range ballistic missiles on Wednesday, as mentioned by the South Korean military, marking North Korea’s second missile test in a week. Last week, Pyongyang also revealed a uranium enrichment facility, marking the first public report of its kind. Kim stressed “the need to continue strengthening nuclear power and acquire the most powerful technical military capabilities, including overwhelming conventional weapon attack capabilities.”
