Intelligence Seizes Two Trucks Carrying Stolen Sudanese Antiquities at Southern Border

Sudan Events – Follow-ups

The General Intelligence Service seized two Land Cruiser pickup trucks at the border with South Sudan, loaded with stolen historical artifacts looted from the National Museum in Khartoum by RSF militia forces.

The intelligence agents arrested a Sudanese citizen involved in the illegal trade of looted artifacts, connected to the crime.

Sudanese Minister of Culture and Information, Graham Abdel Qader, revealed during a seminar organized by Radio Biladi at the Port Sudan Maritime Club that the General Intelligence had obtained audio and video recordings tracking the movements of the trucks to South Sudan. They followed them until the trucks were stopped, and the key coordinator of the robbery was arrested.

He added, “The capture of the artifact thief by security forces will uncover the leads to the rest of the criminals, whether they are countries, entities, or individuals.”
