The Ministry of Health reported on Saturday that 271 new cholera cases have been recorded across five of Sudan’s 18 states.
The total number of cholera cases has now reached 15,577, including 506 deaths, as the epidemic has spread across 58 localities in 10 states.
The Ministry of Health’s statement indicated that Kassala State recorded 82 of the new cases, while Gedaref State registered 88 cases, Gezira State had 34 cases, White Nile State reported 50 cases, and the Red Sea State reported 17 cases.
The ministry also noted that cholera prevention.
