The Sudanese Ministry of Health announced the registration of 562 new cases of cholera.
The Federal Emergency Operations Center held its daily meeting on Saturday, during which the health situation in the country, including cholera, was reviewed, along with interventions carried out by various departments of the ministry.
The epidemiological report on cholera revealed that 562 new cases were recorded on Thursday and Friday, with 11 deaths, bringing the total number of cases from 65 localities in 12 states to 20,398 cases, with 597 deaths.
Additionally, the dengue fever report showed that 177 new cases were registered on Thursday and Friday in Kassala and Khartoum states, with no reported deaths, raising the total number of cases from 12 localities in four states to 910, with three deaths.
The health promotion report highlighted several activities in various states as part of cholera control efforts, including home visits, community dialogues, and messages through different media platforms and social networks.
