Half Billion Dollars Livestock Export Revenues

Ministry of Livestock revealed that it had taken important measures during the war period that contributed to supporting the country’s exports in foreign currencies, amounting to about half a billion dollars.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Livestock, Dr. Hassan Al-Toum, told (Sudan Events) that livestock exports during seven months amounted to about $488 million .The Undersecretary ofThe Ministy revealed that meat exports were greatly affected by the ongoing war and the loss of an important source of hard currency resources.
The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Livestock, Dr. Hassan Al-Toum Abdullah, confirmed in a press statement (Thursday) that the Federal Ministry of Livestock had taken several emergency procedural policies that directly contributed to reducing the obstacles and losses facing the ministry’s infrastructure as a result of the ongoing war in Sudan.
Among these procedures, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Livestock made several visits to the states with the aim of examining the progress of the work of livestock exports, and the governors of the states promised to facilitate investment procedures in this field. This resulted in the approval of Abdat Company to establish a slaughterhouse for exports in Al-Gezira State, and the Gedaref export slaughterhouse was also rehabilitated.
The Tala slaughterhouse in the Nile River State has been accredited by the Food and Medicine Administration in Saudi Arabia to export meat.
