“Saqqiya and It’am” inaugurates new headquarters and continues aiding Bahri residents

The Acting Minister of Social Development in Khartoum, accompanied by the Head of the Takyas Department, inaugurated the new headquarters of the Saqqiya and It’am Charitable Organization. The organization provides meals for 3,000 families in Khartoum Bahri after the city was liberated from the Rapid Support Forces. The Minister praised the civil society’s positive response to Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza’s directives to prioritize Bahri and commended the state’s institutions, social work leaders, and organizations, especially Saqqiya and It’am, led by Hala Al-Shafi and her team.
The Minister noted that the enthusiastic response reflects the coordination between governmental and national entities and the fruits of the state’s patience during the previous period. The Director of Takyas in Khartoum, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Senhoury, emphasized the unity of the Sudanese community in supporting all those in need. Mohammed Abshir, Deputy Director of Saqqiya and It’am, stated that the meals would continue to support the war effort and aid the residents of the state affected by the war.
