Sudan Events – Follow-ups
On Wednesday, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) announced that a truck carrying humanitarian aid, rented by the organization, along with its driver, had been seized by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in White Nile State. The truck was en route to the state to deliver medical supplies.
In a statement, MSF said, “A rented truck belonging to Doctors Without Borders was seized by force, and its driver was detained at a checkpoint controlled by the RSF militia in Al-Sheqeq, northwest of White Nile State, Sudan.”
The statement noted that the last communication with the driver was on October 7, raising concerns for his safety and the fate of the essential medical supplies on board.
The truck was transporting medicine and medical equipment to Kosti in White Nile State, where MSF teams are providing primary healthcare, psychological support, and other services to those displaced by the war.
