The UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, warned of a worsening displacement crisis in Sudan as the war between the army and the RSF militia continues.
In a press statement on Monday, Grandi called for increased support for Sudanese refugees who are facing dire humanitarian conditions.
He noted that the lack of resources is pushing many refugees to attempt dangerous crossings across the Mediterranean Sea and the English Channel to reach Britain, creating a new crisis that requires urgent solutions.
