The Chairman and members of the Sovereignty Council expressed their deep sorrow at the passing of Sudanese champion and world-class swimmer Abdel-Majid Sultan Mohamed Saleh Kajab, who passed away after a short illness.
The Council stated, “In mourning his passing, the Council mourns a national hero who competed in regional and international competitions, raising the Sudanese flag in all swimming events where he won numerous medals.”
It added, “Kajab was a model of dedication and perseverance for all athletes. His legacy will remain a source of pride and honor for all Sudanese and future generations.”
The statement concluded, “May God have mercy on him, and may his family, loved ones, and admirers find patience and solace. We belong to God and to Him, we shall return.”
