On Tuesday, the Rapid Support Forces militia continued its retaliatory campaign against civilians in eastern Al-Jazirah, attacking the city of Al-Hilaliya and killing five people. The militia also trapped citizens inside mosques.
The Madani Resistance Committees reported in a statement that “the Janjaweed militia killed five people in Al-Hilaliya and wounded dozens.”
The statement mentioned that the militia is besieging citizens inside three mosques after looting their homes and conducting a campaign of arrests.
In this context, the Al-Jazirah Conference, a civilian body monitoring these violations, confirmed that the militia killed five civilians in Al-Hilaliya, looted shops in the city, and forced residents to leave.
It added that on Monday, the forces attacked the village of Al-Jaqoqab in eastern Al-Jazirah, killed the mosque’s imam and his son, and forcibly displaced all residents.
The Al-Jazirah Conference also revealed the deaths of two detainees from the village of Al-Kamar Al-Ja’aleen in southern Al-Jazirah at the hands of the militia.
Similarly, the Resistance Committees of Al-Hasahisa reported that the Rapid Support Forces executed 14 detainees from the village of Al-Sireeh, with the fate of other detainees still unknown.
