Khartoum Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza discussed with factory owners and representatives in the Sablouqa area of West Omdurman ways to restore industrial activity in the region, emphasizing the need for resuming water, electricity, and security services, as well as allowing the flow of raw materials and product distribution. The governor also called for simplifying administrative procedures and addressing duplicate charges. He assured that the state government is committed to restarting production and reopening idle factories, highlighting that Sablouqa is a production zone. He noted the state’s decision that factories would not be relocated outside the state without the approval of a designated committee. Furthermore, he pledged to increase security forces to reduce crime, review all services to ensure continuous production, and work with telecommunications companies to restore their services. The governor also touched on Omdurman’s efforts to reactivate the local popular market by reviewing essential services, reaffirming Khartoum’s aim to revitalize economic activities and normalize life in the state’s markets.
