Former U.S. diplomat Cameron Hudson confirmed that President Donald Trump recognizes the Sudanese National Army as one of Sudan’s state institutions.
In a statement, Hudson said that Trump treats the Rapid Support Forces as a terrorist militia, a designation that has been acknowledged globally and condemned, stating that they must be deterred and brought to justice, as witnessed by the world in Al Jazeera and Darfur.
He added, “Trump will not appoint an envoy for Sudan and will not keep one.”
