Jeddah to Host the Second Round of the “Formula 1” Women’s Academy Races
Organizers of the “Formula 1” Women’s Academy announced today (Monday) that the Saudi city of Jeddah will host the second round of the competition in April. Meanwhile, Las Vegas will host the final race of next year’s season, which will feature races across three continents.
Las Vegas is one of three new venues added to the list of hosts for the 2025 season, alongside Shanghai, which will host the opening race in March, and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.
Europe will only host one round of the competition, which will take place in Zandvoort, Netherlands, in late August, while North America will host three races in Miami, Montreal, and Las Vegas in May, June, and November, respectively.
Jeddah will host the second round in April, while Singapore will host the penultimate round in October.
The races will take place at the same venues as the Formula 1 Grand Prix events.
Susie Wolff, managing director of the “Formula 1” Academy, said: “Ending our season in Las Vegas will be a special moment, and adding it to the calendar reflects the tremendous support we are receiving from Formula 1 and Liberty Media.”
The race series, in its second season, enjoys support from all ten teams competing in Formula 1, using cars that reach speeds of up to 240 km/h.
Netflix is set to release a documentary series about the “Formula 1” Women’s Academy.
