The Sudan Doctors Network announced on Wednesday the killing of six people and the injury of seven others in an attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on the village of “Shakiri” in White Nile State.
In a statement, the network confirmed that the attack resulted in six deaths, while seven others sustained injuries described as stable.
The network expressed deep concern over the increasing acts of killing and displacement carried out by the RSF in Gezira and White Nile States, warning of escalating humanitarian crises and the potential for a catastrophic disaster due to these practices.
It called on international and regional organizations to take decisive measures to halt the growing attacks on unarmed civilians and urged for the urgent opening of humanitarian corridors to besieged areas in Gezira, White Nile, and El Fasher States.
