Qatari Aircraft Delivers Medical Equipment to Port Sudan

A Qatari aircraft landed in Port Sudan on Wednesday, delivering the second shipment of medical equipment procured by Sudan’s Federal Ministry of Health during the conflict. The shipment includes MRI and CT scan machines designated for hospitals in Red Sea and Al-Qadarif states, following directives from General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, head of the Sovereignty Council, with funding from the Ministry of Finance.
The equipment was transported by Qatar’s Amiri Air Force in coordination with Qatar’s Ambassador to Sudan, Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Sada. The reception at the airport included Sudan’s Federal Health Minister, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, representatives of Qatar Charity, and the Qatar Red Crescent Society.
Dr. Haitham announced plans to import MRI machines for Kassala and White Nile states in the coming months, ensuring diagnostic services cover most northern, eastern, and central states. He expressed gratitude for Qatar’s ongoing support, emphasizing its vital role in sustaining Sudan’s healthcare system during the crisis.
