Health Minister Sheds Tears While Visiting Tuti Residents

Federal Health Minister Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim visited a shelter housing residents of Tuti Island in Karari locality, accompanied by the state governor Ahmed Othman Hamza. He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to meeting all needs in coordination with the Khartoum State government.
The minister congratulated Tuti residents on the armed forces’ recent victories, including the liberation of Sennar, expressing hopes for the success of the dignity battle and the safe return of Tuti residents to their island.
Moved by the conditions of Tuti residents, the minister said, “The people of Tuti are known for their pride and generosity. Through patience, we will overcome these hardships,” pledging to provide all necessary services.
He highlighted the pressing need for medical and shelter services due to the large number of displaced people, condemning RSF violations as heinous crimes.
The minister also thanked the Khartoum State government for its efforts in supporting the people of Tuti.
