On Thursday, the Al-Jazirah Conference announced that the RSF targeted seven villages in Al-Hasahisa locality, northern Al-Jazirah, with heavy artillery, resulting in the deaths of at least four people, as well as an unspecified number of injuries and abductions.
A statement issued by the Al-Jazirah Conference said, “Since Wednesday, the RSF has carried out heavy artillery shelling on the villages of Al-Fawar, Abu Karna, Umm Korak, Saleem, Ajjan, Mueijna, and Aabara in Al-Hasahisa locality, leading to the martyrdom of four residents from Al-Fawar village.”
The statement added that the shelling also injured an unspecified number of individuals, accusing the forces of abducting residents and engaging in widespread looting and robbery.
It highlighted a massive displacement wave as villagers fled amid continued heavy artillery bombardment. The attacking forces were also reported to have imposed a siege on these villages.
The Al-Jazirah Conference noted that RSF retaliatory attacks on the eastern part of the state have displaced approximately 400,000 people, forcing the complete evacuation of about 400 out of 515 villages in the region.
