The Islamic Movement emphasized its support for the Sudanese Armed Forces, its steadfast position behind the leadership, and its confidence in the cohesion of the internal ranks and its wisdom in managing the country’s affairs.
In a statement regarding a recording attributed to Sheikh Abdel Hai Yusuf, which circulated online on Friday, the movement said: “The Sudanese Islamic Movement reaffirms its steadfast position behind the leadership of the country and its confidence in the cohesion of the internal ranks and its wisdom in managing the affairs of the country. This has been publicly stated in the movement’s official media, which represents it, its leadership, and its honorable positions in supporting the armed forces, its leader, and defending the nation’s dignity.”
The official spokesperson of the Islamic Movement pointed out that they appreciate Sheikh Dr. Abdel Hai Yusuf’s honorable stances in Islamic work in Sudan, while stressing that Dr. Abdel Hai is not a member of the movement nor any of its structures.
