Ethnic cleansing with “Ardamta” , UN Official Describes the Images as “Disgusting”

Local residents in the Ardamta area of El Geneina ,West Darfur state, complained of ethnic cleansing of the Masalit tribe that settles in the city by the RSF Militia that seized the area last week.

The massacres of ethnic cleansing prompted a senior U.N. official in Darfur, Toby Harward, to describe the reports and images from Ardamta as “disgusting.” In a post on platform X, formerly known as Twitter, he appealed to those with the authority to protect civilians and provide unfettered humanitarian access.

The RSF attack on the headquarters of the 15th Division in El Geneina since last week has led to the displacement of citizens of the Ardamta and neighboring to other neighborhoods, while the flow of refugees to Chad continued.
