Brighton Coach: I Will Learn from Suspension… Fulham Is Evolving
Brighton manager, Fabian Hürtseler, pledged to learn from his suspension, which will prevent him from standing in the technical area during his team’s match against Fulham in the Premier League on Thursday.
According to the German Press Agency, the German coach was issued a yellow card for attempting to pressure the referee into issuing a yellow card to a Southampton player during an intense match earlier this week, in which he clashed with Southampton’s Russell Martin.
Hürtseler had previously been involved in a similar incident when he avoided a suspension for standing on the touchline after receiving a red card during a match against Nottingham Forest in September.
The Brighton manager stated in comments highlighted by the British News Agency (PA Media): “I’ve been through this punishment once in the German league.”
He added: “Suspension is not a good experience, but to be honest, it’s a punishment I deserve, and I need to learn from it. I trust my team and the coaching staff, who are doing a great job.”
He also emphasized: “I always confirm when I’m in the technical area that I’m not the main character. It’s more about teamwork; it’s not just about individual performance.”
Hürtseler then praised his opponent, Fulham, who are four points behind his team, saying: “They are a very good team, with players who excel in possession and can adapt to multiple strategies. They rely on individual brilliance and are improving with each match.”
Hürtseler concluded: “I respect Marco Silva, Fulham’s manager, who has made a clear impact in improving the team and its players. Trying to beat them will be a tough task.”
