The Sukay emergency room reported that 13 people from the area were killed, and others injured, in a landmine explosion in their vehicle in the Jebel Moya area.
Local sources told “Sudan Tribune” that the victims were on a trip to recover looted goods from Jebel Moya that had been taken by the Rapid Support Forces militia from Sukay and transported to Jebel Moya, including vehicles and water pumps.
The militia had turned the Jebel Moya area into a strategic military base and a large arms and ammunition storage site before battles occurred there and the army retook control.
